Dear friends and colleagues!

We invite you to take part in the Azerbaijan-Italy International Rhinology Congress (Baku-Rino I) to be held on April 6-7, 2022 in Baku and dedicated to "Innovations in rhinology and rhino-allergology".

I truly believe that this 1st Azerbaijan-Italy International Rhinology Congress (Baku-Rino I) to be organized in Azerbaijan will contribute to the development of this field in both countries.

Our colleagues from Italy, especially the congress co-chair and my dear friend, former president and member of the board of IFOS, Secretary General of the Latin LOR Society, Honorary President of the Italian Rhinology Society, have done a great job in co-organizing this 1st Azerbaijan-Italy International Rhinology Congress in Baku. 

The organization of this congress in Baku will not only provide an excellent opportunity for a productive exchange of ideas, preparation of future cooperation programs, but also help us to have Italian experts get acquainted with our beautiful country and culture. 

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the president of the Congresss, professor Geray Garaybeyli, the rector of Azerbaijan Medical University who is very supportive of this whole initiative.

The scientific program will be presented jointly by Azerbaijani otorhinolaryngologists and the Italian Rhinology Society and will enable the discussion around number of interesting topics in the field of rhinology and rhino-allergology. Internationally recognized experts are invited to speak at the Congress. Our colleagues from Italy will also organize several pre-congress workshops including on Sleep Apnea treatment. I hope that the scientific program of the Congress, the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful cities - our capital city Baku, the famous hospitality of Azerbaijani people, rich culture and history of our "Fire land", and our delicious cousin will undoubtedly leave unforgettable memories for lifetime. While here you will have yet another unique opportunity to attend to "Novruz" (Spring) holiday festivities, which are one of the dearest and joyful events in the country.

President of the First Azerbaijan-Italy International Rhinological Congress (Baku-Rino I)

Dear friends,

I am here as Honorary President of the Italian Society of Rhinology but also as Past President of the Italian Society of ENT.

I must say that I am very happy and a little excited to open this congress, in fact it is the first time that officially Italian colleagues are meeting with colleagues from this interesting indipendent Country that is a nexus of ancient historical empires, but also a ‘new’ nation rapidly transforming itself in a super way, to discuss important issues of our otorhinolaryngology speciality.

In addition, as Past president of the World Federation of National Societies of ORL, which as you certainly know represents as many as 120 nations, I can testify that among the objectives of IFOS one of the main  is to encourage meetings and discussions between peoples.

I am convinced that this meeting will be the first of other meetings that I am sure will be very useful especially for young colleagues because they will be able to know different opinions but all addressed to the health of our patient.

Thank you therefore for accepting my suggestion and organizing this first important meeting.
